About the cummings centre
The Cummings Centre’s mission is to empower and enhance the quality of life of adults age 50 and over by providing dynamic and innovative programs, social services, and volunteer opportunities in a vibrant, respectful, inclusive, and compassionate environment. Building on its Jewish heritage, Cummings embraces people from all ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.

As the hub of Montreal’s 50+ community, the Cummings Centre touches the lives of 10,000 people on an annual basis. In keeping with the ever-changing needs of this demographic, Cummings has evolved into a multi-dimensional membership-based community organization offering programs and services in person at its main campus site at 5700 Westbury Avenue in Snowdon and various off-site locations throughout Montreal and online. The main campus building includes a state-of-the-art Wellness Centre and workout facility, a fully equipped art studio and woodshop, a computer tech centre, recreational areas, cafeteria, boutique and more. Adapted programming is also available providing innovative art, fitness, and social programs for individuals recovering from surgery, with mobility issues and movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease, post-stroke, MS, aphasia, and other conditions.

PROGRAMS
The Centre offers more than 300 programs each season specifically designed for adults 50 years of age and older. A varied roster of educational, social, and stimulating courses speaks to the vibrancy of the Centre and its commitment to embracing this age demographic. Programs ranging from art & music to entertainment, politics and fitness are designed for members to continually challenge themselves by learning, experiencing, and sharing.
