Cummings Center

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Cummings Centre Foundation’s Board of Directors’ responsibilities are to:

“We are living in very difficult times. The pandemic that beset us in early 2020 is nowhere near eradication, while world conflicts have led to food shortages and rampant inflation. As usual, it is the most vulnerable in our society who suffer as a result. Our mission at the Cummings Centre Foundation is to raise funds to help our seniors, both frail and well, cope with these problems. The need is great – please join me in the battle to make their lives better – every dollar helps.”

- Allan Chandler, Cummings Centre Foundation Co-President (2021-23), President (2019-21)

“The Cummings Centre provides wonderful opportunities to people who are looking for something new in their lives that will either help them to grow in new directions or help them to give back – wherever their interests lie. It’s such an important place … not only for its courses and programs but because of the people it helps: those who benefit from dementia programs or adapted exercise programs, Holocaust survivors who have a place to go and meet – there are just so many needs that Cummings fills. So many of the older generation of our seniors have suffered throughout the pandemic, unable to see their families, or even to go shopping – it made life very lonely and very difficult. Our Foundation’s work is more important than it ever has been.”

– Roslyn Wiener, Cummings Centre Foundation Co-President (2021-23)
